Weeden told the team after the loss that he was experiencing concussion-like symptoms. After an examination using the league’s concussion protocol, the Browns announced that Weeden suffered the injury.
Weeden played the whole game and finished the day with 24 completions on 40 attempts for 373 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.
If Weeden or Jason Campbell, who is also out with a concussion, are not cleared to play Sunday against the New England Patriots, the Browns would probably start Alex Tanney.
Tanney signed last week to backup Weeden because of Campbell's calamity.
Weeden is now 0-5 in games he started this season and I know Browns' fans must feel like they suffered a concussion all year watching Weeden and the Browns turn super Sundays into crabby-o-Mondays.
So that begs the question, can Tanney be all that worse. We will just have to wait and see what Sunday magic the NFL will bring in Week 14.
