Dolphins’ Ryan Tannehill injures knee in loss to Bills

The Miami Dolphins still have a chance at NFL immortality with a shot at the 2013 playoff dance.  However, the Fins might do the football footsy two-step without starting quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, who left Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills with a left knee injury, reports Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel.

Tannehill injured his knee late in the fourth quarter on a sack by Buffalo's Kyle Williams.  Matt Moore replaced Tannehill. Moore drove the Dolphins into Buffalo territory before being intercepted by the Bills' Jim Leonard.

Tannehill went back in the game and toughed it out long enough to play two additional offensive series, which included six straight incompletion and a sack.  Moore again replaced Tannehill for Miami's final possession of a disappointing loss in Orchard Park.

Miami's field general played poorly, going 10 for 27 for a paltry 82 yards.  Sacked seven times, Tannehill, after the game, told reporters his knee was not an issue but did touch on the loss, lamenting, "Every aspect of the game we failed to step up to the level we needed to play."
