The Colorado Avalanche received bad news that one of their valuable forwards Alex Tanguay has had a set back during his injury recovery. According to denverpost.com Tanguay was out nursing a knee and hip injury since December 2nds game against Montreal. The setback was on his knee injury and according to coach Patrick Roy, this is bad news for the team. It is uncertain whether Tanguay will require surgery, it will be up to the medical staff but for now they have to do without one of their top forwards.
Before his injury Tanguay has nine points in thirteen games before suffering from the injury. It was even reported not to long ago that Tanguay was skating again and making good progress aiming for an earlier return. This is no longer the case as his future on when he will return is unseen.
