Bucs: Darrelle Revis chest injury not thought to be serious

By on 12/02/2013 03:30:00 PM

Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Darrelle Revis exited Sunday's loss to the Panthers with a chest injury. It was the second week in a row Revis had been forced out of action by injury, after he suffered a groin injury last week in Detroit. Bucs head coach Greg Schiano faced the media on Monday and stated the team does not believe Revis' injury is a serious one, per Scott Smith of the Buccaneers.
Revis had only one limited day of practice in the week leading up to Sunday's game but was given the green light before kickoff. Revis tallied three tackles and a pass deflection before his exit.

It looks like Revis may have dodged a bullet yet again, but this has nonetheless been an injury-riddled season for Revis. In addition to the minor groin and chest injuries, Revis also revealed earlier in the season he had been struggling with his rehab from a torn ACL in 2012.

Just when it looked like he may be getting back to the Darrelle Revis of old, the one islands are named after, these two latest injuries pop up and muddle the process.
