After starting the first 24 games of his 12th NBA season, Tayshaun Prince sat out of Wednesday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks with a sore knee. The Memphis Grizzlies are dealing with multiple injuries to the starting lineup, as is most other team in the league.
Center Marc Gasol has been out since November 22 with a sprained MCL in his left knee and still has no official timetable to return. Gasol did not even travel with the team to Dallas for Wednesday's contest, according to ESPN. Point guard Mike Conley has also missed time with a left thigh contusion. Mike Miller had rolled his left ankle in Tuesday's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, but returned to the lineup on Wednesday to replace the injured Prince.
Prince played only nine minutes in Tuesday's game against the Lakers in a 96-92 loss. He did not score, he did have one rebound to go with one turnover. During his first 24 games this season, the small forward is averaging six points, three rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 26.6 minutes per game.
