Grizzlies' Zach Randolph misses practice due to ingrown toenail

By on 12/03/2013 04:00:00 PM

The Memphis Grizzlies are hoping to get their starting forward back soon after having surgery for an ingrown toenail Saturday. Zach Randolph, nicknamed Z-Bo, missed Saturday's game against the Brooklyn Nets and watched his team from the bench as they fell to Jason Kidd's squad 88-97 and into fourth place in the Southwest division. With the New Orleans Pelicans thrilling win in triple overtime over the Chicago Bulls on Sunday night, the idle Grizzlies dropped to last place.
Fox sideline reporter Rob Fischer tweeted a couple of updates on the power forward yesterday.
Randolph had been averaging 16 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 32.7 minutes played over the team's first 15 games of the season. He was leading the Grizzlies in rebounds and the second leading scorer.
The Grizzlies will take on the Phoenix Suns at home in Memphis at FedEx Forum. Tip off is at 8:00 PM ET.
