Jacksonville Jaguars' Week 17 Injury Report: Dwayne Gratz, Geno Hayes, Maurice Jones-Drew

By on 12/27/2013 07:00:00 PM

The Jacksonville Jaguars will keep it in the AFC South for their season finale this week, traveling to Indianapolis to square off with the playoff bound Colts.

The most prominent figure on the report is running back Maurice Jones-Drew. There is conjecture abound for the eighth-year back, as this is the final season of his five-year, $31,100,000 million contract. He is battling a lingering hamstring injury, but is expected to play in what could be his last game with the franchise.

Outside linebacker Geno Hayes will be out for the second consecutive week, being setback by a knee injury that has effectively ended his 2013 season.

Cornerback Dwayne Gratz will join Hayes on the sideline on Sunday, being ruled out with an ankle injury. Both he and Hayes have missed practice this week.

There are 11 players on the injury report, with all but two (see above) participating in at least a light manner. Here is the official report*, courtesy of

  1. The Jaguars showed signs of life in the second half. Maybe 2014 will turn out much better.

  2. 2014 will be fun to watch. The attitude is exciting. I'm not so worried about wins and losses. I like watching teams have fun while playing. I like watching people believe in themselves. The wins will be a symtom of this attitude. Give them heck and have fun while doing it. We believe in Khan, Caldwell, Bradley and the players. This franchise will be the route to the Superbowl in 2015 and years to come. Build a dynasty, not a team!!!!!
