Rockets' guard Jeremy Lin will play tonight

The Houston Rockets have played about a third of their games without point guard Jeremy Lin this year.  They are 6-4 without him and 18-10 overall, 2nd in the Southwest Division.  With starter Patrick Beverley out, it was imperative to get Lin back as soon as possible.

Mark Berman, Sports Director at Fox 26 in Houston, tweeted the following about Lin's status.

The Rockets should also have James Harden back in the lineup to give the team a four-guard rotation with Lin, Aaron Brooks and Francisco Garcia.  Brooks and Garcia got the bulk of the minutes in Saturday's 114-97 win over the Detroit Pistons.  Brooks had 10 points and 7 assists in 34 minutes off the bench. Garcia started in place of Harden and had 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists, in 35 minutes.

Lin could be a tad rusty after missing 12 games this season, but expect his shooting touch to return quickly. He's having his best shooting season of his career, hitting nearly 50 percent of his shots from the floor and 80 percent from the free throw line.  Lin is averaging 14.3 points in 28.8 minutes per game, up from his career averages of 11.8 points in 26.7 minutes per game.
