"The swelling went down," Harden said. "It's still there but it's improving. We will re-evaluate and I will try to do some work on it (on Tuesday) and go from there."Francisco Garcia started for Harden along side of Jeremy Lin, who returned to the lineup after being out with back spasms. Garcia scored only 3 points on 1-of-6 shooting in 35 minutes of action. Lin played well, scoring 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting, in 37 minutes. Aaron Brooks was the only guard coming off the bench and added 18 points and 5 assists, in 27 minutes.
Harden, who has appeared in 23 of the Rockets' 29 games, has played through injury all season. Although his numbers are slightly down from last season, he's still averaging 23.9 points, 5.6 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game. Last year, his first season as a starter, Harden was an All-Star, averaging 25.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.
