Guard Toney Douglas made a short return to the Golden State Warriors lineup posting one three-pointer in two minutes against the Charlotte Bobcats Monday night. Douglas had not seen game action since November 9 due to a stress reaction in his left tibia, according to the Warriors' twitter account. He had missed a total of 14 games before rejoining the team on the floor Monday.
The Warriors had gone 0-8 in three-point attempts in the first quarter before Douglas made his shot beyond the arc. Though the team lost the contest 111-115 to the Bobcats, it was a good sign to have Douglas back, even with low production for the game.
Douglas was playing through pain before going on the shelf a month ago with the stress reaction. He will take time to get his rhythm back, but the reserve guard will return to his normal self shortly. In eight games this season, he has averaged six points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 14.3 minutes played per game.
