Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving To Miss Second Consecutive Game

Cleveland Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving had a goal coming into this season that he would not miss a single game. That dream did not materialize, and he's set to miss his second straight game with a left knee contusion according to Mary Schmitt Boyer of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving will miss his second straight game on Saturday in Brooklyn as he remained in Cleveland for treatment on his left knee contusion.
Irving had missed the team's previous game on Thursday after an MRI given on Wednesday confirmed the contusion. His status for Sunday's game against the Indiana Pacers is uncertain.

Irving is an extremely talented player, there's no doubt about it. His ability to make the basketball his toy on offense along with speed make a viable scoring threat. The only glaring issue with Irving is his bad luck regarding injuries, as he's missed several games in his short career for a variety of reasons.

For the season, the 21-year old guard is averaging 22.2 points on a career-low 42.8% shooting from the floor. In addition, he's piling up a career-high 6.1 assists per game in around 35 minutes of action.
