According to the NHL website Evgeni Nabokov has been placed on IR for the second time this season. The first time he missed eleven games with a groin injury. Now he is out with a lower body injury that happened during a play on Monday night against the Dallas Stars. He fell awkwardly stopping the puck with a little over eight minutes remaining in the first period. He stayed down on his right side for a few minutes before getting up. He tried to play a little longer but waved at the bench on a stoppage and immediately left the ice.

The extent of his injury wasn't mentioned but Kevin Poulin will be starting goalie and Anders Nilsson will be backing him up until Nabokov can return.
