During the first half of Monday's 107-88 win over the Orlando Magic, Mavericks' power forward Dirk Nowitzki suffered a couple of bruises to his right shooting arm.

The 11-time All-Star assured everyone the injury is nothing serious and will not keep him out of Wednesday night's game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

As reported by Dallas beat writer Dwain Price, Nowitzki spoke on how the injury affected his shooting in the second half of Monday's game.

"I bruised my triceps and then I hit my forearm, so it was a double bruise going on, so I couldn't really shoot in the second half," he said. "But I was out there trying to help and it was enough to win. But I'm just glad we didn't really need me there in the fourth quarter anymore. I'll get some rest tomorrow and be ready for Wednesday."

Nowitzki went on to explain why he doesn't think the injury will keep him out of the lineup Wednesday.

"It's a bruise," he said. "We've got 48 hours until the next game and I'll be ready to roll."

Mavericks' head coach  Rick Carlisle also didn't seem worried, stating,

"I think he got elbowed on the forearm and it may have hit a nerve. He may have had a zinger." He went on to say "They messed around with it and stretched it out."

Nowitzki just became the 24th player in NBA history to convert at least 1,400 career three-pointers.
