Nuggets' Nate Robinson Has Surgery on Torn ACL, Out for the Rest of the Season

As the NBA season continues, more players continue to go down. The latest to fall victim to the injury bug is Denver Nuggets' Nate Robinson, who had surgery to repair a torn ACL. As a result, he is out for the season, as reported by NBA writer Chris Dempsey.

This season has not been kind to players and the severity of injuries. Robinson was a vital piece in the Nuggets lineup and was their leading play-maker behind Ty Lawson. Coming off the bench, Robinson averaged 10.4 points and 2.5 assists, however when he is on the floor he assists on about 22% of the team's buckets, which is a much more accurate depiction of his play-making abilities.

It'll be hard for the Nuggets to replace Robinson, but Evan Fournier will likely have to step it up. For the season, the Nuggets have obtained a record of 22-22, but currently trail the Raptors in Friday nights game.
