Edmonton Oilers forward Nail Yakupov returned to the lineup in Friday night's game against the Phoenix Coyotes, as reported by Joanne Ireland of the Edmonton Journal. The first overall draft pick in the 2012 entry draft has missed the last two games with a concussion following a hit by Minnesota Wild forward Matt Cooke.

In his return, Yakupov finished with 12:51 TOI, 4:30 of which came on the power play. He had one shot on goal and one hit. He finished the game a minus-1, adding to his league-worst stat, now at minus-32.

On the season, the 20-year-old has nine goals and eight assists. His name has come up in some trade rumors, as he's having a difficult season and the Oilers are in desperate need for top defensemen and potentially a goaltender. Although, they recently traded for goaltender Ben Scrivens.

The team is having another dreadful season. Under head coach Dallas Eakins' first season with the team, the Oilers find themselves last in the Western Conference yet again.
