Suns' Eric Bledsoe Out for a Week with a Knee Sprain

The Phoenix Suns' guard Eric Bledsoe missed practice on Friday due to some knee swelling. After being evaluated on Saturday, Bledsoe will be out for at least one week with a knee sprain. Coach Jeff Horneck told the public that they are not going to rush Bledsoe back, according to Paul Coro of AZCentral.
“We don’t want to rush him back,” Hornacek said of Bledsoe. “They’ll check him out in another week and see if the inflammation goes down and go from there.
The team is 3-4 without Bledsoe after the most recent loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. Bledsoe missed six games earlier because of a shin bruise. Regardless, the team as a whole has surprised NBA fans with its relatively spectacular play. Not many people were expecting a team led by Bledsoe and Goran Dragic to produce a record of 19-12 in a tough Western Conference.

Bledsoe is one of the reasons for the Suns' success. He's averaging  18.0 points, 5.8 assists and 4.3 rebounds a game in his first season as a full-fledged starter.
