Twins Notes: Byron Buxton's Shoulder Fully Healed

By on 1/24/2014 08:00:00 AM

The Minnesota Twins top prospect, and likely the top prospect in all of baseball, Byron Buxton has been dealing with a bone bruise and tendinitis in his left shoulder since November.  Fortunately for Twins and baseball fans alike, Mike Berardino reports some good news:

The 20-year-old outfielder is fully healed and expected to be a part of Spring Training this season.  The right-handed hitter has only spent two years in the minors, but has accumulated a .312/.404/.502 slash line with 17 homeruns and 66 stolen bases in 763 plate appearances.

Byron Buxton will likely start 2014 in Double-A, but the phenom could quickly ascend up the ladder and possibly even get a taste of the majors late in the season.
