As reported by the Associated Press through ESPN.com, Conley is expected to miss at least a week following an MRI exam on Saturday that Conley had a Grade 2 sprain. Coach Dave Joerger stated before the game against the Bucks that Conley will be re-evaluated next week before giving any further timetable for his return.
Nick Calathes, a rookie out of Florida, started in place of Conley and had a career high 22 points on 8-of-12 from the floor and 4-of-5 from three point range. The 22 points doubled his previous career high set on January 25 against the Rockets. Calathes also have five rebounds, three assists and a steal in 40 minutes of action. Expect Calathes to continue to start in the back court with Courtney Lee until Conley returns.
Conley is in his seventh season out of Ohio State. He is averaging 18 points and 6.3 assists per game this season. In 481 career games, Conley is averaging 12.9 points and 5.6 assists per game.
