Hawks' Jeff Teague returned in win over 76ers

The Atlanta Hawks routed the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night by the score of 125-99. The win moved the Hawks to 24-21, eight games behind the Miami Heat in the Southeast Division.  The game saw the return of Hawks' point guard Jeff Teague, who had missed the previous two games.

Keith Allison via Wikimedia Commons reported that Teague returned after missing two games due to an ankle injury.  Although he shot only 3-of-10 from the floor, he had eight assists and two steals in 24 minutes of action.  His shot was off and did not attempt a three-point field goal but playing 24 minutes was a good sign that his ankle is doing well.

Shelvin Mack, who had been starting in place of Teague, returned to the bench and had eight points and four rebounds, in 12 minutes of action.  Dennis Schroder had nine points in 17 minutes during the blowout win, but he could see less court time in the upcoming games with Teague back in the lineup.

Teague is in his fifth season out of Wake Forest.  He's averaging 16.1 points and 7.3 assists in 41 games this season. In 330 career games, Teague is averaging 9.9 points and 4.5 assists per game.
