Orioles Notes: Dylan Bundy Could Throw Off a Mound by May

By on 2/17/2014 07:30:00 AM

Baltimore Orioles top prospect, Dylan Bundy, is making progress from Tommy John surgery.  According to Kelsie Heneghan of MiLB.com, the right-hander could start throwing off a mound in May.  Orioles manager Buck Showalter expressed his optimism:
"I really like the way his rehab is going.  I think, looking back on it, it might be the best thing that's ever happened to him, all things considered."

Bundy, 21, underwent Tommy John surgery at the end of June of 2013.  He made a brief two game appearance in 2012 for the Orioles, pitching a total of 1.2 innings, allowing one hit and one walk, while striking out none.  If things go well, the Orioles could have their prized pitching prospect ready to rejoin the major league club in June.
