Timberwolves' Nikola Pekovic could play this weekend

We are now getting news that The Minnesota Timberwolves' Nikola Pekovic could suit up and play this weekend. The next game for the Wolves is this Saturday against the Utah Jazz. A recent tweet from Kent Youngblood states that Wolves' shooting guard, Kevin Martin could also play this weekend.

Two days prior an article was posted on this site stating that Pekovic would remained sidelined. Apparently not anymore.

Rotoworld.com advises that Martin and Pekovic sound close. Pekovic, who hasn't played since Jan. 27, has been participating in drills along with Martin. They'll go on the road with the team and take it on a day-to-day basis.

Nikola Pekovic, was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2008 NBA draft and was selected as the 1st pick in the 2nd round (31st overall). Pekovic has a career average of 12.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. This year is statistically his best year as he is averaging 18.0 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.

Fantasy Analysis (Fanduel Scoring): Since Pekovic's injury, Ronny Turiaf was a solid value or punt option as he replaced Pekovic as the teams starting center. At this time Turiaf is also sidelined with a injury. In the teams win over the Pacers, Love played center when Turiaf went out. With both Turiaf and Pekovic out, Dante Cunningham is expected to play more minutes than usual. Sources indicate that until either Turiaf or Pekovic return, Love will play center and either Mbah a Moute or Cunningham will play at power forward.
