The Chicago Bulls defeated the Indiana Pacers on Monday by the score of 89-77.  The win improved the Bulls to 23-13 at home and 40-31 on the season, second in the Central Division.  With 11 games left in the season, the Bulls are fourth in the Eastern Conference, two game ahead of the Brooklyn Nets. They have a good chance of securing first round home court advantage in the playoffs.  The Bulls will be without Derrick Rose, who has missed the entire season, and wont be ready for the post season.

As reported by the Associated Press at, coach Tom Thibodeau was posed the question as to whether or not Rose would be ready for the playoffs.  Although Rose is doing more and coming along and able to participate more in practice, he's out for the year. Rose is looking to return this summer at the World Cup of Basketball.  Hopes are that he'll be 100 percent ready to go for the 2014-2015 season.

Rose is in his fifth NBA season out of Memphis.  Rose has played only 49 games over the past three seasons due to injury. In ten games this season, he's averaging 15.9 points, 4.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game.  In 289 career games, all with the Bulls, Rose is averaging 20.8 points, 6.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game.
