Cavaliers' Kyrie Irving progressing from left bicep strain

By on 3/26/2014 12:00:00 PM

The Cleveland Cavaliers' All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving was seen shooting jump shots after the team's shoot around concluded, according to Mary Schmitt Boyer from The Cleveland Plain Dealer. The Cavaliers are expected to reexamine Irving's left arm in one week. In the worst case scenario, with just 10 games left, Irving will miss the remainder of the season.

This is significant news as Irving addressed his injury and said he could not lift anything with his left arm just one week ago. Irving was seen during most of Tuesday's shoot around session on the stationary bicycle and did minimal court work and running after his teammates left the floor.

The Cavaliers' sixth man Jarrett Jack has embraced his extended role with the injury to Irving's left bicep. Jack has moved into the starting line up and has improved his production including a 31-point effort against the New York Knicks. Cleveland currently sits 4.5 games out of playoff contention.

Kyrie Irving is averaging 21.2 points and 6.2 assists this season with the Cavaliers.
