On Tuesday night when the team took on the Colorado Avalanche, Brandon Prust left for a few minutes during the first period with a 'mysterious' injury but returned before the period ended. He tallied up a goal and an assist along with three shots on net, but clearly fans were able to tell he was in pain.

After the game Prust said Tuesday night following the game, "I was definitely going to do everything I could to make sure I could come back."

"It was a scary situation. I don't want to leave at this time of the year."

"Maybe if it was earlier in the year, you might try and figure it out a little more, but right now, I'm not leaving the game."

When people saw him leave the ice everyone automatically assumed he popped his shoulder out of place (having had many shoulder injuries in the past). When questioned about it Prust said, "Shoulder didn't pop out."

A reporter then asked a question if it were a nagging injury and he said, "It's not my shoulder. Shoulder didn't pop out. Shoulder never pops out. No popping."

Prust showed up to practice on Thursday morning (after having Wednesday off) but he only skated with the teammates for 10 minutes before leaving the ice. After practice Michel Therrien said that he would sit out of the line-up with an upper body injury and Ryan White would make his return. Nothing was said about the extent of the injury and some reporters are assuming it is a rib injury. More updates will be available once the team releases a statement.
