The Miami Heat lost to the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday by the score of 105-95. The loss dropped the Heat to 47-21, first in the Southeast Division and second in the Eastern Conference. The Heat played without the services of guard Dwyane Wade, who sat out as a precaution. It was the 18th game Wade has missed this season.  He is in jeopardy of missing his 19th game, as he's listed as doubtful for tonight against the Trail Blazers.

Michael Wallace, who covers the Heat for, tweeted the following on Wade's status
Toney Douglas started in Wade's absence against the Pelicans but scored only three points on 1-of-3 shooting, in 14 minutes of action. Ray Allen came off the bench and had ten points and three rebounds, but shot just 3-of-10 from the floor, in 31 minutes. Should Wade miss tonight's game, expect Allen to get the majority of the minutes at shooting guard.

Wade is in his 11th season out of Marquette.  In 50 games this season, Wade is averaging 19.3 points on a career best 54.6 percent shooting from the floor.  In 715 career games, Wade is averaging 24.4 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds per game.
