Kings' Rudy Gay plays through ankle injury

By on 3/10/2014 03:00:00 PM

The Sacramento Kings lost yesterday against the Brooklyn Nets with a final score of 89-104. The loss brought the Kings to 22-41. The Kings are 4th in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference.
During the game, Kings' forward Rudy Gay, tweaked his ankle in the 3rd quarter. He went to the locker room but quickly returned to finish the game with a total of 20 points.

Tim Bontemps, who is a Brooklyn Nets beat writer, tweeted as Gay responded to the locker room.

As of today there is no news on if the ankle injury will keep Gay out of tomorrow's game as the Kings are scheduled to travel to Detroit to face the Pistons.

Rudy Gay was drafted by the Houston Rockets in the 2006 NBA draft and was selected as the 8th pick in the 1st round. Gay has a career average of 18.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. This year he is averaging 20.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

Fantasy Analysis (Fanduel Scoring): If Gay is unable to suit up against Detroit tomorrow, look for a boost from Derrick Williams. Williams is at the bottom as far as pricing and should exceed value if he plays a full helping of minutes. Due to the Pistons lack-luster defense, if Gay is out, Williams will be locked in all my lineups.
