Trail Blazers' LaMarcus Aldridge will play tonight against Nuggets

Portland Trail Blazers power forward LaMarcus Aldridge will suit up tonight against the Denver Nuggets after missing the last five games with a groin injury, according to Erik Gundersen on Twitter.

As reported on February 19th, there was no apparent reason as to how the injury occurred, but Aldridge was anticipated with miss at least one week with a strained left groin. Now after 10 days, the Blazers All-Star forward will be ready to go.

In Aldridge's five game absence, the Blazers have gone 4-1, and are on a current four-game winning streak. Forward Dorell Wright started in all five games in place of Aldridge, with Victor Claver and Thomas Robinson picking up extra minutes off the bench.

Aldridge leads the team in scoring with 23.9 points per game, and Portland leads the entire NBA in offense averaging 107.9 per contest.

Portland is currently in third place in the Western Conference with a record of 40-18.
