Portland Trail Blazers point guard Mo Williams went to the locker room during the second quarter with an apparent right hip injury according to Chris Haynes on Twitter. He did not return.

Williams played only 11 minutes, adding four points and three assists in their 109-99 loss to the Grizzlies. Williams exited the game with the Blazers down 42-36, forcing Damian Lillard to carry the load for the rest of the game. Williams has brought a different dynamic to Portland, and it is paying off. In 59 games this season, Williams is averaging 9.5 points, 4.5 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 24.7 minutes per game.

Behind Williams, Earl Watson is the only point guard on the roster. And should he miss playing time due to the injury, Watson will need to step in as the backup point guard.

With the loss the Blazers drop to 42-22. They currently sit fifth in the Western Conference.
