Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal was carried off the floor by fellow teammates after twisting his ankle during overtime in their win against the Magic. According to the Washington Wizards on Twitter, Beal suffered a right ankle sprain and is listed as day-to-day.

At first the injury seemed very serious considering he couldn't even stand on his leg, fortunately for Beal he didn't suffer a break. Beal finished off the night with 20 points, four rebounds and two assists in 42 minutes played. The Wizards won the game 105-101.

Beal has been one of the Wizards most productive players of late, averaging at least 18 points per game in their last six contests. Expect Martell Webster to get the start if Beal cannot go tonight against the Nets.
"He's making a name for himself [Beal] . . . He's one of our rising stars." said teammate Marcin Gortat after the game
Throughout 55 games this season for Washington, Beal is averaging 17.0 points and 3.7 rebounds in 33.9 minutes per game.

The Wizards (34-31) got a much needed win with things beginning to heat up in the Eastern Conference. They now move into a theoretical tie for fifth place in the East with Brooklyn (33-30). The Nets own the slight edge because they have one less loss. Both teams are two games back of the Bulls for fourth place.
