Wizards' Kevin Seraphin will miss Saturday's game with knee injury

The Washington Wizards improved to 32-29 on Wednesday night with a 104-91 win over the Utah Jazz. The Wizards are in second place in the Southeast Division and fifth overall in the Eastern Conference, a game ahead of the Brooklyn Nets. The Wizards played without Martell Webster and Kevin Seraphin. The good news is Webster should be able to play on Saturday against the Bucks, but Seraphin will be unable to go.

Michael Lee, Wizards reporter for the Washington Post, tweeted the following on the status of Webster and Seraphin.
Trevor Ariza, Otto Porter and Chris Singleton have been playing the majority of the minutes at small forward in Websters absence. Marcin Gortat has been holding down the center position with Seraphin out. Ariza had 26 points and five rebounds in 36 minutes against the Jazz. Porter and Singleton played a combined 33 minutes, but did not score. Gortat was very solid in the middle, scoring 16 points, adding nine rebounds and four assists.

With Webster back in the lineup, expect Porter and Singleton to see significantly less time. Gortat will most likely start again at center against the Bucks.

Seraphin is in his fourth NBA season.  He averaged just 2.7 points and 2.6 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per game as a rookie.  After improving to 9.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game last season, Seraphin has struggled to 5.5 points and 2.7 rebounds in only 12.2 minutes per game this season.
