Bruins' Jarome Iginla misses game against Detroit

By on 4/02/2014 09:30:00 PM

The Boston Bruins announced that forward Jarome Iginla would miss the game on Wednesday night against the Detroit Red Wings.

At first it was expected that the forward would be out to get some 'rest' and be 100% before the play offs while some expected he was out due to illness. It was then announced by the Boston Bruins Twitter page that Iginla was out because of a Lower Body Injury.

No other news was given about the injury. It could be a lingering injury, or one that happened during practice but that is only speculation.

With Iginla sitting Jordan Caron has returned to the line-up to take his place. No word yet if he will return Thursday when the Bruins take on the Toronto Maple Leafs.

So far this season Iginla has 30 goals and 31 assists averaging under twenty minutes of ice time per game.

More info to come when available...
