Dodgers' Hanley Ramirez leaves game with hand injury

By on 4/17/2014 12:22:00 AM

Dodgers’ Hanley Ramirez left Wednesday’s game against the Giants with an apparent hand injury after he was hit by a pitch on his left hand in the 7th inning. The ball got him on the top of his hand. Ramirez immediately threw his helmet down and the trainers walked him to the dugout.
UPDATED: X-Rays negative

In 2013 he ended up playing just 86 games, but still hit 20 home runs while accumulating 57 RBI. He batted over .345 with a .402 OBP combined with a 5.4 WAR (Wins Above Replacement). If it wasn’t for the injuries, Ramirez could’ve competed for the National League's Most Valuable Player of the Year award.

This season, Ramirez is 16 of 57 with 2 home runs, 7 runs batted in, 11 strikeouts, and 8 walks in 15 games.

The Dodgers sit tied for first place in the National League West at 9-5 with the Giants. We will update you on any further information.
