Ducks' Mathieu Perreault misses game 6 with lower-body injury

The Anaheim Ducks played game 6 against the Dallas Stars on Sunday night without one of their key forwards. Mathieu Perreault missed game six with what appears to be a lower body injury.

There is no word on what the exact injury is, except it is lower body and Perreault is considered day-to-day. He has been a key player for his team during the playoffs, recording 4 points in the first 5 games including the overtime winning goal in game 5.

The Ducks were able to eliminate the Stars last night, leading 3-2 in the series going into the game. For most of the game the Ducks were behind 4-2 until the finals minutes where they managed to tie the game with 21 seconds left on the clock. They headed into overtime and managed to pull out a win.

If the team had to go in to a game seven, there is speculation that Perreault may have been able to return but nothing confirmed. With a few days off before round two it will give him time to rest and be healthy for the next round.

Perreault has 43 points in 69 games this regular season.
