Miami Heat point guard Mario Chalmers has been declared questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Charlotte Bobcats with a bruised knee, according to the Miami Herald. Chalmers missed today's practice and is considered day-to-day.
Chalmers injured his right knee during the first quarter of Sunday's 99-88 victory. He continued to play through the injury and finished off the night seven points, three rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes played.
If Chalmers is unable to go for game two, Norris Cole will start at point guard and likely carry the load for the majority of the game. With Dwyane Wade rested and all systems go for the playoffs, he will control the point at times to give Cole and Chalmers a break when needed.
The Heat lead the series 1-0. Game three of the series will be played in Charlotte on Saturday night, giving the teams two full days to rest in between.
