After announcing Kent Bazemore would sit out the rest of the season, we are now learning the Lakers guard will undergo surgery on his foot Wednesday.
An MRI revealed the 24-year-old tore the peroneus longs tendon in his right foot in a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers last week.
Mike Trudell, beat reporter for Lakers.com reported the surgery, and that the timetable for Bazemore's return depends on the outcome of his surgery.
Bazemore averaged just two points in 4.4 minutes in 61 games with the Warriors last season, and only 2.3 points in 6.1 minutes in the 44 games he played with the Warriors this season. With the Lakers, however, he averaged 13.6 points and 3.4 rebounds in 28.7 minutes.
