Lakers' Pau Gasol unlikely to play again this season

The Los Angeles Lakers scored 130 points on Tuesday against the Houston Rockets at the Staples Center. The bad news is they gave up 145 for their fifth straight loss. The Lakers are 25-53 on the season, and have nearly sealed a last place finish in the Pacific Division. The Lakers played again without the services of Pau Gasol, who is not likely to play again this season.

Dave McMenamin, who covers the Lakers for ESPNLosAngeles.com, tweeted the following on Gasol's status.
With Gasol still not 100 percent, it's hard to imagine the Lakers playing him in meaningless games. That means Jordan Hill, Ryan Kelly and Robert Sacre should continue to see the bulk of the minutes up front during the final four games.

Gasol, the 33-year old from Spain, is in his 13th NBA season. In 60 games this season, he is averaging 17.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. In 905 career games, Gasol is averaging 18.3 points on 51.5 percent shooting from the floor and 9.2 rebounds per game.
