The Orlando Magic lost to the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday by the score of 97-88. The loss was the second straight for the Magic, who fell to 23-57 on the season. The Magic played without center Nikola Vucevic, who has been ruled out of the final few games of the season. They also played without point guard Jameer Nelson, who missed the game with a sore groin.

John Denton, who covers the Magic for OrlandoMagic.com, tweeted the following on Nelson's status.
The injury comes as a surprise since Nelson played 34 minutes on Friday night. It's possible the he's been playing through the injury for some time. With only two games left in the season, don't be surprised if Nelson sits the last two and Oladipo starts. Oladipo had 14 points in 26 minutes against the Nets.

Nelson is in his 10th season out of Saint Joseph's.  He's averaging 12.1 points in 68 games this season, but shooting just 39.4 percent from the floor. In 651 career games, Nelson is averaging 12.6 points on 44.2 percent shooting, and 5.4 assists per game.
