New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard Eric Gordon is not expected to play tonight against the Trail Blazers in Portland, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Gordon has missed the last eight games due to tendinitis in his left knee.

Gordon did not travel with the team to Salt Lake City to play the Jazz on Friday night. But instead he made a trip to Los Angeles to get his knee examined by a specialist. Gordon suffered to injury back on March 21st and his status for the remainder of the year is still uncertain. It is likely possible that he will be sidelined with the season winding down and the Pelicans already eliminated from the playoffs.

In 64 games this season, Gordon is averaging 15.4 points, 3.3 assists and 1.2 steals in 32.1 minutes per games.

The Pelicans are currently last in the Southwest Division with a record of 32-44. This will mark their third straight season with a below .500 record.
