The San Antonio Spurs will be extremely shorthanded tonight against the Rockets, according to Jeff McDonald on Twitter. Kawhi Leonard, Tiago Splitter, Danny Green and Patty Mills have all been ruled out. This is a huge game for the Rockets and this latest report will please them greatly in trying to lock-down the fourth seed in the West.

All of these players will sit due to precautionary reasons and allow any ailments extra time to heal. Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has done an excellent job in preventing his players from playing too much minutes. Not one player on San Antonio's roster is averaging more then 30 minutes played per game. And yet they have the best record in the NBA. A true testament on how great this organization is, especially Popovich.

On the other hand, the Rockets need to win tonight's game in order to keep home-court advantage for the first road of the playoffs. With two games remaining, the Trail Blazers sit half-a-game behind Houston.

With the number one seed already theirs, the Spurs have the power to sit their players until the playoffs begin. San Antonio holds a record of 62-18 and they will have home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, including the NBA Finals if they advance to that stage.
