St. Louis Blues injury updates: Who's in and out for game three

By on 4/21/2014 08:19:00 PM

The St. Louis are in a weird position of being injured and healthy all at the same time. They enter tonight's game with a 2-0 series lead over the Chicago Blackhawks, and play their first road game of the playoffs tonight.

Captain David Backes will not play in tonight's game due to an upper body injury that he suffered after being hit from behind by Brent Seabrook. It's believed that Backes may have suffered a concussion but it's still uncertain.

The Blues are getting Brenden Morrow and Patrik Berglund back in the lineup. Morrow missed game two due to a foot injury and Berglund has been out since the late stages of the regular season with an upper body injury.

With both players returning, Derek Roy will spend the game in the press box as a healthy scratch.

Morrow and Berglund are expected to play together, flanked by Ryan Reaves on the third line.

If St. Louis can win tonight, they'll put a stranglehold on Chicago. A 3-0 series lead is almost insurmountable and Blues fans will be able to sleep easy.

The game starts tonight at 8:30 pm eastern time.
