Suns' Goran Dragic will miss season finale on Wednesday

The Phoenix Suns enter the final game of the season on Wednesday night having lost their last three games. At 47-34, the Suns are officially eliminated from playoff contention and will finish in third place in the Pacific Division. The Suns will play without leading scorer Goran Dragic due to an ankle injury.

Keith Allison  via Wikimedia Commons reported that Dragic has been playing the last few games with an injured ankle and most likely would sit out as soon as the Suns were eliminated from the playoffs in Monday night's 97-91 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Expect reserves Gerald Green to start with Archie Goodwin and Dionte Christmas to see extended minutes on Wednesday. Green is averaging 15.8 points in 28.6 minutes per game this season. Goodwin, a rookie out of Kentucky, has averaged 3.2 points in only 9.8 minutes per game. Christmas, a 26-year old in his first season out of Temple, is averaging 2.3 points in 6.3 minutes per game.

Dragic is in his sixth NBA season. He's set career highs in scoring, field goal percentage, rebounds and minutes per game.  He averaged 20.3 points on 50.5 percent shooting from the floor, to go along with 5.9 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game.  In 424 career games, Dragic is averaging 11.5 points and 4.5 assists per game.
