The Washington Wizards lost in blowout fashion to the Chicago Bulls on Saturday by the score of 96-78. The loss dropped the Wizards to 40-37, second in the Southeast Division. Through the up and down season which has the Wizards in the number six spot in the Eastern Conference, they have played to a record of 12-9 without the services of Nene Hilario, who has been out with a left knee ligament strain.

As reported by J. Michael of CSNWashington.com, with five games left in the regular season, the Wizards are looking for Nene to return to the lineup this week.  It's clear that the Wizards missed his presence against the Bulls, who won two-of-three against them this season, both with Nene in the lineup.

Trevor Booker has started in place of Nene next to center Marcin Gortat Booker has done an adequate job, but doesn't have the offensive skill set that Nene has. Gortat commented on what Nene's absence means to the team on the offensive end of the court.
"Huge difference. He can knock down the open jump shot. He's a huge threat defensively under the basket. It's a huge difference. He's a veteran. He's a very skilled player."
Nene, the 31-year old from Brazil, is in his 12th NBA season.  In 49 games this season, he's averaging 14.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.  In 676 career games with the Nuggets and Wizards, Nene is averaging 12.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
