Clippers' Hedo Turkoglu hopes to return for Game 5

By on 5/10/2014 12:00:00 PM

The Los Angeles Clippers lost on Friday to the Oklahoma City Thunder by the score of 118-112. Down 2-1 in their best-of-seven Western Conference Semifinals, the Clippers need a win on Sunday to avoid the unenviable task of winning three straight to avoid elimination. The Clippers will be without Hedo Turkoglu again for Game 4, but hopes to return for Game 5 Tuesday in Oklahoma City.

Marc J. Spears, NBA writer for Yahoo! Sports, tweeted the following on Turkoglu's status.
Turkoglu hasn't played much this season and is only averaging only 3.2 points and 8.2 minutes per game in the post season. But he's a veteran presence on the bench and can fill in in case of injury or foul trouble.

Turkoglu has played for the Kings, Spurs, Magic, Raptors, Suns and Clippers during his 14-year NBA career. He averaged three points and 2.3 rebounds, in 10.3 minutes per game this season. In 935 career regular season games, Turkoglu is averaging 11.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
