Nets' Deron Williams suffers scary incident tonight against Raptors

By on 5/02/2014 08:48:00 PM

Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams twisted his left ankle during the third quarter in tonight's contest against the Toronto Raptors. Williams laid on the floor for several minutes before being helped onto his feet. After a timeout, Williams walked it off and returned to action.

The incident occurred when Williams collided with Terrence Ross while driving to the basket. Williams got fouled and was able to shot his free throws following a timeout. Before the stoppage in time, the Nets led the game 63-43.

The series is currently in favor of the Raptors with a 3-2 series lead, but right now the Nets are up big and likely will close out tonight's game to send this series to seven games.

If the Nets hold on, game seven will be played in Toronto on Sunday night.
