White Sox left fielder Adam Dunn out of lineup in win over Cubs

The Chicago White Sox won the second straight game of the cross-town series against the Cubs On Tuesday by the score of 5-1. The win improved the White Sox to 17-17, second in the American League Central. The White Sox were without Adam Dunn because of a bruised right calf. But Dunn is expected back in the lineup today.

As reported by the Associated Press through Yahoo! Sports, Dunn was scratched just thirty minutes prior to the first pitch.  With Dunn out of the lineup,  Dayan Viciedo moved from right field to left field and Moises Sierra, who was activated on Sunday, started in right field and batted sixth.

Sierra made the most of his start, going 4-for-4 with a double and a run scored.  Sierra was just 2-for-35 entering the game.  Viciedo went 0-for-3 and is batting .306 on the season.

Dunn made pinch hitting appearance but did not get a hit.  He's played for the Reds, Diamondbacks, Nationals and White Sox during his 14-year career. Dunn's batting .269 with five home runs and 12 RBI this season.  In 1,897 career games, Dunn is a .239 hitter with 445 home runs 1,116 RBI and 2,252 strikeouts.
