Wizards' John Wall will be ready for Game 4

By on 5/11/2014 06:00:00 AM

The Washington Wizards lost to the Indiana Pacers on Friday by the score of 85-63. The blowout loss put the Wizards behind in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Semifinals two games to one. An all around poor performance by the Wizards included an anemic 32.9 percent shooting from the floor and 52.4 percent from the free throw line. Point guard John Wall sustained an injury to his eye in the third quarter, but he should be fine for today's Game 4.

Michael Wallace, who covers the Miami Heat for, tweeted the following on Wall's status.
Wall's eye was scratched in the third quarter, but didn't appear to affect his shooting.  He was a respectable 6-of-13 from the floor, although he had seven turnovers.  He met with doctors twice and is now wearing a medicated contact in his eye.   Should Wall's eye bother him during Game 4, expect veteran Andre Miller to see additional time off the bench.

Wall averaged 19.3 points, 8.8 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game during the regular season.  In eight games this post season, he's averaging 16 points, 7.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game.  The fourth-year guard out of Kentucky has career averages of 17.7 points and 8.3 assists per game.
