The Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday by the score of 9-8. The win improved the Diamondbacks to 33-47, last in the National League West. The Diamondbacks banged out 19 hits in the 14-inning win, with Gerardo Parra leading the way, going 5-for7. Ender Inciarte added four hits in the victory. It appears that Parra injured a finger on his left hand during the game. At this time there is no word as to the severity of the injury.

Steve Gilbert, who covers the Diamondbacks for, tweeted the following on Parra's injury.
Should Parra miss any time, expect Cody Ross to start in his place. Ross, in his 11th Major League season, is batting .221 with a home run and eight RBI this season. He's a career .262 hitter with 131 home runs and 498 RBI.

Parra is in his sixth Major League season, all with the Diamondbacks. He's batting .265 with five home runs and 24 RBI this season. Last season, Parra had a career high in home runs with 10, while batting .268. He's a career .275 hitter with 38 home runs and 244 RBI.
