Dodgers Injury Update: Hanley Ramirez out again with shoulder issue

By on 6/25/2014 07:30:00 PM

The Los Angeles Dodgers seem ready to go on a hot streak, fans have been waiting for this all season. Just as they started to get hot; they learned they must continue without slugging shortstop Hanley Ramirez. He dealt with a variety of injuries this season. He has continued to battle shoulder troubles, which kept him out of the lineup one again. It was reported that he has recurring discomfort in his arthritic right A/C joint at the top of his shoulder. He received a cortisone injection about two weeks ago.

Without Ramirez, the defense improves slightly, however; the offense goes down also. This year he is batting a solid .269/.354/.469 with 11 home runs and 46 RBI's. When he is out his bat will be missed. In the end, the Dodgers are better with him in the lineup mainly because of his bat. Because of his defense, they may not be so bad without him after all.
