Dodgers Injury Update: Hanley Ramirez out Sunday with calf issue

By on 6/29/2014 09:00:00 PM

The Los Angeles Dodgers are making a push for the National League West lead, however; it has not helped that one of their biggest stars, Hanley Ramirez, has suffered a calf injury.

Head coach Don Mattingly had this to say,
"I think we'll probably find out more tomorrow. ... I think we're built on pitching, and if we can defend [we'll be OK]. The only positive is I think we're a little better defensively with someone else. [Still] I like our lineup a lot better with him in it."
The Dodgers twitter account were first to report Ramirez's absence.
Ramirez has played in 74 games this year, batting .272 with 11 home runs and 46 RBI's. His replacement, Miguel Rojas, is batting .255 with four RBI's in his first 20 MLB games. This is not Ramirez's first injury this season. He has been doing his best to stay off the disabled list.
