Our own Jacob Fagan reported on June 11 that Ramos was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a hamstring injury. James Wagner of The Washington Post reported that Ramos was scheduled to play four rehab games starting on Saturday before returning to the Nationals. Ramos hope to rejoin the Nationals in Chicago on Wednesday and come off the disabled list on Thursday when eligible.
Ramos batted third for the Harrisburg Senators against Akron on Saturday and went 1-for-3 with a home run and three runs batted in.
Ramos, in his fifth Major League season, is batting .261 with a home run and 11 RBI this season. Last season, he had a career best 16 home runs and 59 RBI, while batting .272. He's a career .269 hitter with 36 home runs and 137 RBI.
